FCT police arrest notorious ‘one-chance’ robbery suspects

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command, on Friday disclosed it had arrested three suspected members of a notorious robbery syndicate who specialised in robbing victims from banks using ‘one-chance’ technique. The command’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, made the disclosure while parading the suspects before newsmen in Abuja.

Manzah said that police operatives attached to the Maitama Division in Abuja busted and arrested the suspects on Tuesday, adding that the suspects, who came from Kaduna State, were arrested by Police Operatives after they trailed and broke into the car parked by their victim.

The police spokesman said items recovered from them include a Toyota sienna mini bus, four fabricated keys, one bunch of house keys and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. According to him, preliminary investigation showed that two members of the syndicate were renowned for their involvement in one-chance robbery.
